Almost every generator application has an exhaust system designed to route exhaust gases out of the engine room. More importantly, the exhaust system usually includes the clamps between the engine and the silencer to compensate for the moments and heat expansion. One of the most popular and cost-effective choices are clamps. These clamps are made of single-ply corrugated stainless steel, which allows the absorption or isolation of the fast (but small) engine vibrations from the rest of the exhaust piping. The standard overall length of the clamps is usually 18”; however, other lengths are available upon request. Typical clamps usually allows about 0.25” deflection on a 12” length flex hose.

Nett Technologies’ Clamps are available in many configurations: with the ANSI pattern flanges (fixed or floating), engine specific flanges (MTU, Caterpillar, Kohler, Cummins, etc.), NPT connections, slip-on, etc. Standard end-connections are made of the Carbon Steel, however, other materials such as Aluminized Steel, Stainless Steel 304 or 316 are available upon request.
