Low-pressure drop weather-proof rain caps come install-ready for tubes/pipes. Offered in different sizes and different construction materials, the rain cap is a protective covering or housing for the top of an exhaust pipe or tube that is intended to prevent the entry of rain, snow, moisture, animals, birds as well as downdrafts back into the pipe. These rain caps are popular choices for industrial, automotive, marine, and power generation applications and can be manufactured in stainless steel and aluminized steel for maximum durability. The rain cap should fit snug over the top of the exhaust pipe or exhaust tube. After tightening the bolt, ensure that the rain cap can move freely up and down to allow the exhaust gas to escape.

Nett Technologies’ Rain Caps are available in many configurations: with the ANSI pattern flanges (fixed or floating), engine specific flanges (MTU, Caterpillar, Kohler, Cummins, etc.), NPT connections, slip-on, etc. Standard end-connections are made of the Carbon Steel, however, other materials such as Aluminized Steel, Stainless Steel 304 or 316 are available upon request.
