Which engine type do you have?

Natural gas generator aftertreatment is selected based on combustion type, not just fuel. The two engine classes require fundamentally different catalyst chemistries. 

RICH-BURN ENGINE

Stoichiometric Combustion

Rich-burn engines operate near the stoichiometric air/fuel ratio. This creates exhaust conditions suited for 3-way catalyst chemistry that simultaneously reduces NOₓ, CO, and HC.

Excess Air Combustion
