Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 23, 2026

At NETT Technologies Inc. (“NETT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), protecting your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through nettinc.com and related online services, how we use and disclose it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights available to you. It also identifies the specific third-party tools running on our website.

By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please discontinue use of the website.

1. The Laws That Apply to This Policy

NETT is a Canadian company based in Ontario, and this Policy is written to comply with:

  • The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada’s federal private-sector privacy law;
  • Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), which governs consent for electronic marketing messages and the installation of tracking software on your device; and
  • Quebec’s Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector (Law 25), for visitors located in Quebec.

Where these laws differ, we apply the more protective standard to all visitors rather than operating separate rules by province.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

We collect information you choose to give us when you contact us, request a quote, submit an inquiry, register for training, subscribe to communications, or otherwise interact with our website. This may include your name, company name, job title, email address, telephone number, mailing address, and any other details you include in a form or message.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, certain technical and usage information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, approximate geographic region, referring website, pages visited, and date and time of access. Section 5 identifies the specific tools that collect this information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide requested products, quotes, or services;
  • Administer customer and prospect relationships, including through our CRM (HubSpot);
  • Communicate with you about products, services, or company updates, where permitted;
  • Measure and improve website performance, content, and usability;
  • Deliver retargeted advertising to prior visitors, where you have consented to advertising cookies;
  • Maintain the security of our website and systems; and
  • Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

4. Cookie Consent

When you first visit our website, a cookie banner allows you to accept, reject, or customize your cookie preferences by category (Necessary, Analytics, Advertising/Marketing). Strictly necessary cookies remain active regardless of your preferences, as they are required for the website to function. All other categories are activated only after you provide consent. You may change your preferences at any time through the cookie settings link available on our website, or by adjusting your browser’s cookie controls.

5. Third-Party Tools and Cookies Used on This Website

The table below identifies the specific third-party tools currently used on nettinc.com, what each is used for, and approximately how long related data is retained.

Each provider is contractually or by policy required to use information only for the purposes described above and to maintain reasonable safeguards over it.

6. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Google, HubSpot, and Tawk.to are based in the United States, and information collected through these tools may be stored or processed outside Canada. Once information is transferred outside Canada, it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, or national security authorities of that jurisdiction under their local laws. NETT requires that service providers maintain safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, regardless of where it is processed.

7. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain business records, or to meet legal, accounting, or regulatory requirements. As a general guide:

  • Contact and CRM records (HubSpot): retained for the duration of the business relationship and for a reasonable period afterward to support follow-up inquiries;
  • Analytics data (Google Analytics): retained up to 14 months from collection;
  • Advertising/remarketing identifiers: retained up to 13 months from collection;
  • Live chat transcripts (Tawk.to): retained according to that provider’s own retention schedule.

Where information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, destroy, or anonymize it.

8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable privacy legislation, you may:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request that inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information be corrected;
  • Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting us directly; and
  • Withdraw or adjust your cookie consent at any time through our website’s cookie settings.

We may require reasonable verification of your identity before acting on a request. Withdrawing consent to marketing does not affect operational or transactional communications necessary to administer an existing relationship with you.

If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy request, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca), or, if you are a Quebec resident, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI).

9. Children’s Privacy

This website is directed at business audiences and is not intended for, nor knowingly directed at, children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. Security Safeguards

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction, and we review these safeguards periodically. No method of transmission or storage over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted through this website.

11. Links to Other Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites that operate independently of NETT and are governed by their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites and encourage you to review their policies before providing personal information.

12. Additional Disclosures for California and Other U.S. State Residents

This section supplements the rest of this Policy and applies to residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws (collectively, “U.S. Privacy Laws”).

12.1 Categories of Personal Information We Collect

  • Identifiers: name, email address, IP address, device identifiers;
  • Commercial information: inquiries, quote requests, products or services viewed;

  • Geolocation data: approximate location derived from IP address;
  • Professional information: job title, company name, and business contact details.

12.2 Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. However, our use of advertising cookies for remarketing (see Section 5) may constitute a “share” under the broad definition used in some U.S. Privacy Laws, because it involves cross-context behavioral advertising. You may opt out of this sharing at any time through our cookie preference settings.

12.3 Your Rights

Subject to applicable U.S. Privacy Laws, you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we have collected about you;
  • Request deletion of your personal information;
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; and
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

You may exercise these rights by contacting us using the information in the Contact Us section below, or an authorized agent may do so on your behalf. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, generally 45 days, with one 45-day extension where permitted.

13. Additional Disclosures for EU/UK Visitors (GDPR)

This section supplements the rest of this Policy and applies to individuals located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom.

  • Contract: to respond to quote requests and fulfill orders; and
  • Legal obligation: where processing is required by applicable law.

13.3 International Transfers

Where personal information is transferred to service providers in the United States (see Section 6), we rely on mechanisms recognized under GDPR, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the recipient participates, or Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect that information.

13.4 Your Rights

Subject to GDPR, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your personal information, request portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing, withdraw consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

NETT Technologies does not currently maintain a formally designated representative within the EEA or UK. EU and UK residents may direct privacy inquiries to the contact details in Section 16, and this section will be updated if a designated representative is appointed.

14. Notice for Users Located in China

China’s Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) may apply to individuals located in mainland China who interact with this website or provide personal information to NETT. NETT is currently reviewing its data handling practices, including cross-border transfer mechanisms and the potential appointment of a designated representative in China, to align with PIPL requirements applicable to our scale of operations.

If you are located in China, you may direct questions about your personal information to the contact details in Section 16. This section will be updated as NETT’s PIPL compliance review is completed.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
