BlueMAX™ 500 & 520-Series - Technology

NETT's BlueMAX™ 500 & 520 Series combines Oxidation Catalyst (OC) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technologies to reduce emissions from lean-burn natural gas engines.

The Oxidation Catalyst reduces Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Hydrocarbons (HC), while the SCR catalyst reduces Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) through controlled DEF injection.

Furthermore, the BlueMAX™ control system continuously monitors operating conditions and optimizes reductant dosing to maintain emissions reduction performance across varying engine loads.

 

BlueMAX™ 500 & 520-Series - Performance

DEF is injected upstream of the SCR catalyst where it thermally decomposes into ammonia. The ammonia reacts with NOx emissions inside the catalyst and converts them into nitrogen and water vapor.

In addition, the oxidation catalyst reduces Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Hydrocarbons (HC), providing a complete emissions control solution for lean-burn natural gas engines.

Actual performance depends on exhaust temperature, exhaust flow rate, catalyst sizing, engine-out emissions levels, and operating conditions.
