GreenTRAP™ NOVA 100 Receives EPA Verification

APRIL 18, 2017 / Nett Technologies Inc., of Mississauga, Ontario – a leading manufacturer of innovative emission control solutions – is proud to announce the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) verification of its latest emission control device, the GreenTRAP™ NOVA 100, an active Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) system engineered to reduce emissions in non-road diesel engines.

The GreenTRAP™ NOVA 100 is an active DPF system designed to operate on non-road, 4-cycle diesel engines with or without an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) rated between 175 and 470hp (130 – 351kW).  “The GreenTRAP™ NOVA 100 is truly an incredible emission control system!  Regardless of engine operational conditions and exhaust temperature, the system continually monitors engine parameters and is able to maintain optimal conditions for filter regeneration at any time. When the exhaust temperature is above 300°C for more than 30% of the engine operating time, the DPF is passively regenerated.  When engine exhaust temperature is not sufficient for passive regeneration, the DPF can be regenerated with the assistance of a small amount of diesel fuel sprayed onto a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) to increase the exhaust temperature to an optimal regenerating range” mentions Dr. Seyed Shameli, head of Nett Technologies’ Product Development.

The GreenTRAP™ NOVA 100 system can eliminate up to 90% of your diesel engine’s Particulate Matter (PM), Hydrocarbons (HC) and Carbon Monoxide (CO) emissions and requires only 20 minutes to complete a full system regeneration. “The best part is that the NOVA 100 is fully automated and requires no operator intervention to monitor or engage the regeneration.” continues Dr. Shameli.
